Camping
Our Spacious Campsite...
Our smashing campsite is set in our 12-acre field adjacent to our 5 beautiful, well established fishing lakes, voted in the top 50 fisheries in the UK by the Angler’s Mail & the Angling Times. The generously sized pitches can accommodate caravans, motorhomes, tents and trailer tents.
All bookings must be made via our online booking system. We cannot accept telephone or verbal bookings but please contact us via phone or e-mail if you have any queries.
Pitches...
Our numbered pitches (with or without electric hook up) each measure approximately 10 metres wide by 7.5 - 8 metres deep. The free-range areas are not individually marked or measured out to allow flexibility on the size of your unit, you can select your spot on arrival keeping a safe and sensible distance from the next unit.
To reserve a pitch just click the 'Book Now' button.
Cut off time for bookings is 5pm on the day of arrival.
IMPORTANT: please read our terms and conditions.
Facilities...
We have shower and toilet facilities in the campsite plus a dishwashing station, two fresh drinking water points and a chemical disposal point (the 'dump station').
Roadway...
There is a hard roadway into and around the campsite.
Dogs...
We welcome dogs with well-behaved owners at the campsite! Dogs must be kept on leads, not left unattended and are not allowed at the lakeside at any time. We have a dog exercise area where your dog can be let off the lead, this is around the stock lakes to the north of the campsite - please do not let your dog go into the water. Please clean up after your dog – a bin is provided for this purpose in the dog exercise area.
In wet or frosty weather...
In times of wet or frosty weather, please keep motor vehicles, particularly motor homes, on the hard road and hard standings - please do not drive onto the grass. If you are in any doubt, please call us on 01934 835020 as we do not have facilities to pull you out if you get stuck.
Local Attractions...
As well as superb coarse fishing on site we are ideally situated for visiting Bristol, Bath, Cheddar, Wells, Wookey Hole and the surrounding countryside as well as the North Somerset coastline and various National Trust properties including Tyntesfield. Click here for a whole host of ideas. We're also a recommended place to stay in the excellent London to Land's End Cycling Guide - click here for further information. We're in a popular Dutch cycling guide too.
Groups...
If you are looking to party and to play loud music (if your neighbour on the campsite can hear it, it's too loud), or to come onto or off the site late at night, then we are definitely not the site for you. On the other hand, if you enjoy staying on a quiet, peaceful site in a rural location, with a family atmosphere, we'd love to see you. Groups of 6 or more by prior arrangement only - please see our terms and conditions.
A nice review...
The Wright family from Maidenhead spent a great week camping and fishing with us (photos on our gallery). Here's what they had to say:
"Having spent a splendid week camping and fishing at Bullock Farm with my wife Velda (allergic to fish!!) and my youngest, Sam, we decided to return a couple of weeks later with Matt (son number 2).
What a great few days it turned out to be, weather was a bit iffy occasionally but that did not distract from some great sport. Phil (the owner) gave as a warm welcome and updated us on the past couple of weeks' catches as well as just chatting in general, an excellent host and extremely friendly.
It didn’t take us long to get the camp set up, kettle on and fishing gear rigged and ready to go. So after a refreshing brew we headed for North Pool (literally 2 minutes from the tent) for a couple of hours sport before dark.
The rest of the week was divided between the Carp Lake, the boys favourite, and North Pool, my favourite as I could nip back to the tent for the odd cuppa (and obviously see if my better half was ok) as well as the odd trip out to keep her happy. Hopefully Alex (number 1 son) will be able to join us on our next visit, work load permitting, as we shall DEFINITELY BE BACK."
