Match Lake
This lake has 31 swims - 8 of these are on a central island accessed by a footbridge. There are six other islands plus many other features giving each swim an individual feel.
We have recently carried out some work to remove snags and silt from this lake The silt was placed on the islands and behind the nicospan wall to strengthen the banks.
The banks of the Match Lake are steep creating a good depth of water tight to the features.
The Match Lake is planted with trees, native shrubs, bullrushes, irises.
The lake is heavily stocked with a mixture of carp - common (to 19lb), mirror (to 15lb), koi, crucean; tench (to 5lb); golden tench (to 3lb); bream (to 5lb); skimmer bream; roach (to 1.5lb); rudd; golden orfe; chub; perch.
This lake is best known for its beautiful tench, crucians and fantailed crucians along with silver fish.
The current pleasure bag record on this lake is held by John Harrison with a bag of 138lb. The record was previously held by Mike Smith of Warmley with 135lb.

"Bullocks Farm Match Lake is in my opinion the best Crucian Carp match venue in the South West. The venue never ceases to amaze me, thirty inches deep with plenty of quality Roach, Skimmers and Crucians (if you can catch them) and of course Carp to double figures."
