Terms & Conditions
All bookings must be made via our online booking system. We cannot accept telephone or verbal bookings but please contact us via phone or e-mail if you have any queries.
Please ensure that you add our e-mail address: info@bullockfarm.co.uk to your safe senders list as any correspondence regarding your booking including confirmations, payment reminders, pitch notifications will be sent to you via this method.
1. Pitches
Our numbered pitches (with or without electric hook up) each measure approximately 10 metres wide by 7.5 - 8 metres deep. The free-range areas are not individually marked or measured out to allow flexibility on the size of your unit, you can select your spot on arrival keeping a safe and sensible distance from the next unit.
We always try to get you as close to your requested pitch or location on the campsite as possible, but we cannot guarantee any request. If we need to alter your pitch type we will always endeavour to offer you a suitable alternative.
Cut off time for bookings is 5pm on the day of arrival.
All bookings must be made in the name of the person staying on the campsite.
Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
2. Electric Hook Ups
We have 19 pitches with electric hook up points and hard standings plus 4 grass pitches with hook up points. You will need a standard 25 metre hook up cable to connect to our 10 amp supply (see photos below). Please check the length of your cable prior to arrival. We do not allow generators.
If you cannot get power to your unit, firstly please check that any appliances you are using are not tripping the supply. There is a trip switch alongside the hook up point which you can reset. Next check your cable. If you still can’t get power please contact us. If we cannot rectify the problem and need to contact our electrician, you should be aware that there is a minimum call out charge of £75 which will be passed on to you should the fault be with your equipment and not our supply.
3. Payment
We accept payment by debit or credit card via our online booking system. All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. Any cancellations or alterations must be confirmed to us via e-mail.
If you are making a booking within 4 weeks of your arrival date, full payment will be taken at the time of booking.
If you are booking more than 4 weeks prior to your arrival date then you’ll have the option to either pay a £30 deposit with the balance due 4 weeks prior to the start of your stay or to pay in full. If you just pay the deposit, you will be sent a reminder when the balance is due via e-mail. Please note that we will not send any further reminders and failure to pay the remaining balance by the due date will result in your booking being cancelled and the loss of your deposit.
One-night stays: unlike a lot of campsites, we don't have a minimum 2 or 3 night stay but we do have a minimum fee of £30 on a numbered pitch with or without electric hook up. This does not apply to free-range camping (non-electric, choose your spot on arrival).
4. Cancellation Insurance
For your protection we recommend that you take out a cancellation insurance policy as any monies paid in advance are non-refundable and non-transferable. The only exception to this is if we are unable to fulfil your booking due to circumstances beyond our control. If this is the case we are happy to transfer bookings which cannot go ahead to another date within a 12 month period of the date of your original stay subject to availability.
5. Arrival & Departure
You are welcome to arrive on site anytime between 12.00pm – 8.30pm, if you wish to arrive outside of these hours please agree this in advance by telephoning us on 01934 835020. Pitches should be vacated by 11.00am. If you have booked a pitch and have not arrived by 9am on the day following your agreed arrival date and have not contacted us, your booking will be cancelled and the pitch made available for others to book - no refund will be given.
You must book in advance, we cannot accept bookings on arrival.
6. Hirer’s Responsibility
During your stay you are responsible for your pitch and are expected to take all reasonable care of it, leaving it free from rubbish throughout your stay and at the end of the hire period.
Please do not pitch on any area of obviously dead or damaged grass. Any item which does not allow light through to the grass can only remain in the same place for a maximum of 7 days eg: a tent, groundsheet, awning, rug/mat, etc - after 7 days it must be moved to a fresh area of grass.
All grey water must be collected and disposed of at the dump station.
The use of the pitch is at the hirer’s risk and we cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to persons or belongings, nor for loss or damage to any vehicle or its contents. However, we do not seek to exclude or limit liability for negligence.
When connecting to our hook up facilities you must have the correct lead - a standard 25 metre lead which complies with current British standards. Failure to use the correct lead will make you liable for any damage caused.
We reserve the right to remove and dispose of any property which has been left unattended for 24 hours without prior notice.
Please don't feed any of the wildlife. They have an abundance of natural food (which is why they like it here!) and additional feeding can attract rodents.
Please follow the Countryside Code:
http://www.naturalengland.org.uk/ourwork/enjoying/countrysidecode/default.aspx
7. Vehicles
We accept one vehicle per pitch on the campsite in addition to your tent, caravan, motorhome, campervan. If you bring additional vehicles you may be asked to park them in the main car park (depending on the length of your stay, there may be an additional charge for this).
We don't accept very large commercial vehicles or converted buses, lorries or horseboxes. If you have anything other than a standard, tent, caravan, motorhome, campervan, etc, please contact us prior to making a booking to ensure that we will accept your vehicle.
8. Groups
We do not allow groups of more than 6 on the campsite without prior agreement. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
9. General Behaviour
Noise nuisance, loud music and offensive language will not be tolerated. If, in our opinion, your behaviour is unacceptable, you will be asked to leave immediately without refund. Please keep noise to a minimum between the hours of 11pm & 8am so as not to disturb others.
10. Pets
Well-behaved dogs on leads are allowed at the campsite and off the lead in our dog exercise area. Dogs are not allowed at the lakeside nor can they be left unattended on the campsite. Owners must supervise their dogs at all times and must clean up after them when they foul – a bin is provided. Sorry, we do not accept cats.
11. Fishing
The fishing lakes are open daily from dawn to dusk. We do not allow night fishing. For tariff and full rules please see our website or noticeboard in the car park.
12. Smoking on the Campsite
Is discouraged. If you wish to smoke, please consider non-smokers around you and dispose of cigarette ends responsibly. The café and toilet & shower block are non-smoking areas.
13. Barbecues / Campfires
We allow barbecues provided that they are up on legs and not placed directly on the grass so that it scorches. We do not allow single-use/disposable barbecues. Please be considerate to your neighbours. We do not allow campfires or firepits.
14. Rubbish
Please help us to keep the site tidy by placing your litter in the appropriate bins (at the bin store located in the fishing car park) before you leave. All bulky items such as tents, gazebos, chairs, fishing rods, umbrellas, etc must be taken home or to your nearest recycling centre.
