LOCAL CIDER

Somerset is a traditional cider-making area and we are lucky enough to have some great producers close by.  Beware though, it goes straight to your knees!

Try Crossman's Cider from Mayfield Farm, Hewish about a 15 minute drive down the A370.   Ben is Phil's second cousin and is a small traditional producer.

Thatchers Cider is about a 20 minute drive away at Myrtle Farm in the village of Sandford.  You may be familiar with Thatchers Gold but you really should try the Traditional or Cheddar Valley varieties which are cloudy in appearance.

LOCAL WALKS & CYCLING

Follow this link to a great resource for walks in our area: Walks in North Somerset.  Poet's Walk in Clevedon is a popular one: Poet's Walk.

The Strawberry Line is a very popular cycling trail converting the old railway line from Clevedon to Cranmore into a network of safe paths for walkers, cyclists, families and residents to enjoy.

The London - Lands End Cycle route features us as a good place to stay en route.  This is a great guidebook detailing a traffic-calmed long distance cycle route across southern England - available in English, Dutch and German (French website on the way) and aimed at promoting sustainable cycling tourism!  We look forward to continuing to welcome cyclists to the campsite.

WHAT'S ON IN THE AREA

Discover Clevedon has lots of information about our local town.  Clevedon has a grade 1 listed pier, a marine lake to swim in and a wonderful old cinema, The Curzon.
