This lake has 31 swims - 8 of these are on a central island accessed by a footbridge.  There are six other islands plus many other features giving each swim an individual feel.  Best bag of 135lb was caught by Mike Smith of Warmley.  Best bag in a six-hour match was taken by Tom Thick with a brilliant 115lb 4oz from peg 24.

The banks of the Match Lake are steep creating a good depth of water tight to the features.

The Match Lake is planted with trees, native shrubs, bullrushes, irises and lily pads.

The lake is heavily stocked with a mixture of carp - common (to 10lb), mirror (to 10lb), grass, koi, crucean; tench (to 5lb); golden tench (to 3lb); bream (to 5lb); skimmer bream; roach (to 1.5lb); rudd; golden orfe; chub; perch.

A paddle aerator is used in this lake to keep it open and fishable during even the coldest frosts in winter.
